Andy Donner scored two goals on penalty kicks, including the game-winner, as Niagara-Wheatfield upset Lockport 2-1 in Niagara Frontier League boys soccer action Wednesday.

Sean Maurer made nine saves for the shutout for N-W (6-8 overall, 5-7 NFL). Mike Grabowski scored the lone goal for the Lions (10-5-1, 9-3).

Lew-Port 3, Niagara Falls 0

Zach Eoute scored two goals as Lewiston-Porter beat Niagara Falls.

Joe McGreevy also scored and Zane Tester added two assists for the Lancers (2-7-3 NFL). Nick Polley only had to make three saves to earn the shutout. Niagara Falls dropped to 0-12 in the NFL.

Girls Soccer

Grand Island 1, Lew-Port 0

Alicia Barnaby scored the game’s only goal off of a pass from Alexa Amato as Grand Island (15-1, 12-0) beat Lew-Port. Allie Weiser was forced to make only one save for the shutout.

Nikki Mokhiber made 13 saves in net for the Lancers (8-9, 4-9).

Junior Varsity

n Samantha Forysinski, Mary Chiaravalle, Ariana Mendel, Jenna Raepple and Elizabeth Lorence each had one goal as Grand Island beat Lew-Port 5-0. Sarah Palazza and Maria Buyer split the shutout.

Courtney Donovan had 16 kills and seven blocks as Grand Island beat the Wolverines 25-18, 25-19, 25-22.

Tiffany Dickinson added four kills for the Vikings (6-9, 6-6). Katy Hess had 10 kills and nine blocks to lead NFHS (1-11).

Lockport 3, Lew-Port 2

Lindsey Burke had 11 kills and four blocks as Lockport trimmed Lewiston-Porter.

Amber Chunco had 24 digs, while Katie Prue had 23 assists for the Lions (5-10, 5-7). Lauren Schmidt had six kills and four blocks for Lew-Port (1-12 NFL).

Field Hockey

Starpoint 6, Eden 0

Kayla Weber made eight saves as Starpoint shutout Eden in ECIC action.

Austin McDonough and Lauren Bordonaro each had two goals, while Molly Dohm and Brittany Carlson added one tally apiece for the Lady Spartans (7-9 overall, 6-7 ECIC). Eden falls to 2-8.

Sarah Rivers won the 200-yard individual medley and was a part of a pair of winning relay teams (200 free, 400 free relays) as Niagara-Wheatfield (5-3 overall, 2-3 NFL) beat Grand Island in an NFL swim meet.

Erin Bonaquist won both the 50 free and 100 free, while Nicole Morgan won the 200 free and the 100 back for the Vikings (3-5, 0-4).
