Senior Cole Schneider broke the single-season St. Joe’s scoring record with his tally in Saturday’s 2-2 tie with Clarence in Western New York Varsity large schools Federation hockey action at the Pepsi Center. Jeff Amico also scored for the Marauders (18-4-4 overall), who will play Frontier in the opening round of the playoffs at a date, time and site to be determined in the coming days.

Nick Grazen and Craig Blanchard scored for the Red Devils.

Kenmore East 3, Sweet Home 0

The victorious Bulldogs got goals from Ryan Patterson, Mark Arnone and Dan Medvin in the small schools win. East improves to 15-6-2 overall and 9-3-1 in league play. P.J. Bluff made 27 saves to earn the shutout.

With the win, East becomes the top-ranking public school in the small schools division. That’s important because if a Catholic school wins the small schools playoffs, East would still make the state tournament.
