Lancaster, which edged Niagara Falls out of the Section VI baseball playoffs on a seventh-inning seeing-eye single last May, thumped the Wolverines more emphatically, 10-3, before about 100 bundlers Friday morning at Sal Maglie Stadium.
The Redskins plated their leadoff man and never trailed. Every starter scored a run.
David Yarger singled home Mike Gabriel in Falls’ second and Joe Colosi doubled home Mike Colosi and Chris Cardona in the fifth. Wolverine first-sacker Mike Eagler pulled off an unassisted double play, shortstop Mike Colosi ranged far right to backhand a line drive and catcher Chris Cardona tracked down a wind-blown popup.
Joe Colosi pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings. Including a split of spring-break games in South Carolina, the Wolverines now stand at 2-4. Despite wrinkly field conditions, neither team committed an error.

Starpoint 9, Grand Island 3
Alex O'Donnell had a big game for the Spartans (2-0), going 2 for 3 with a double, a triple, a run scored and two RBIs, including the game-winner in the bottom of a seven-run fifth inning. Austin Speaker scored the winning run, and Brett Guay and Austin Owens also scored runs for Starpoint. Mike Lane earned the win on the hill, tossing four scoreless innings with three strikeouts. Matt McKenna was 1 for 3 for Grand Island, with a double, two runs scored and two steals.
