The owner of emaciated puppy and two other dogs found abandoned in a 12th Street home on June 30 has reportedly turned himself in.

The SPCA of Niagara has reported Donald Ruben, 42, surrendered to Falls police on Wednesday morning, according to Channel 4 News.

The puppy, named Jonah by SPCA staff, died on Wednesday. The other two adult dogs are recovering.

Investigators told the Gazette last week that the owner of the dogs would face three counts of animal cruelty.
