Dan Oliverio named Distinguished Alumni at UB

Noted Niagara Falls High School alumni Dan Oliverio received a Distinguished Alumni Award at the UB Law Alumni Association's Annual Dinner on May 9.

Dan, partner and chairman emeritus of the Buffalo-based law firm of Hodgson Russ, has built a nationally recognized practice leading the firm’s False Claims Act & Whistleblower Representation and Business Crimes, Regulatory Offenses & Corporate Investigations practices.

He also is a member of the firm's Business Litigation practice, placing him as a leader in both civil business litigation and white-collar criminal and regulatory matters, including corporate investigations and compliance.

Other award recipients included the Hon. Alexander W. Hunter, Jr., Caroline A. Wojtaszek, Niagara County’s district attorney, Lenora Foote Beavers, executive assistant to presiding Justice Gerald J. Whalen, and the chief of staff for the Fourth Judicial Department, Christopher Wightman, partner at PJT Camberview and Ilene Fleishmann, vice dean for Alumni Affairs at UB.
