The newest edition to Oliver Street's growing business district will open its doors to the public with a ribbon cutting ceremony next week.
Buffalo Wings and Brewhouse, 653 Oliver St., will celebrate its opening at 3 p.m. Wednesday. The business boasts a broad beverage menu including local craft beers, kombucha, sodas, coffee and wine, available sit-in and carry-out consumption. A small food menu, featuring chicken wings and beef on weck, will also be available.
"These types of businesses will continue to draw people to the Oliver Street corridor and help us meet our overall revitalization goals," said Planning and Development Specialist, Laura Bernsohn, of the Lumber City Development Corporation.
Buffalo Wings and Brewhouse owner Matthew Bille, purchased the Oliver Street property, formerly a mini-mart, in 2017. The building had sat vacant and unused for several years.
He worked with the LCDC, and made a private investment to redevelop the property into a viable mixed-use building. In addition to the commercial space on the lower floor, 653 Oliver St. now also includes a pair of apartments on the upper floors.
