Taste of Lewiston returns on Saturday

File photoThis year’s Taste of Lewiston on Saturday is being sponsored by the Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce and the Lewiston Restaurant Group.

A Taste of Lewiston will take place on Center Street in the historic Village of Lewiston from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday featuring sample-sized food and beverages from Lewiston restaurants.

The event will be held on Center Street from Fourth to Sixth streets, with samples ranging from $1 to $8.

The Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce sponsors the event in partnership with the Lewiston Restaurant Group.

The Lewiston Council on the Arts has produced the event the past two years and is lending the use of “A Taste of Lewiston” name and logo for use in 2019.

Jennifer Pauly, chamber president, has worked closely with the Lewiston dining establishments to make sure the festival is a success. “We have followed the lead of the restaurants in making sure this event happened this year. With cooperation from the restaurants, the Arts Council, the Village and Lewiston businesses, we were able to make it happen. We hope it will be an enjoyable day for all.”

Additional vendors will line the street. Entertainment will be provided starting at 11 a.m. by Lewiston Dance WVNR Viva Nostalgia Radio (Lewiston online music station) will stream music throughout the festival.
