A Falls woman was charged following a daylight armed robbery at 25th Street and Ferry Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.

Michantta Marie Williams, aka Channie, 33, 413 21st St, Apt. 3, faces a single count of first-degree robbery.

A 31-year-old woman told Falls police that she was walking south, in the 500 block of 25th Street, at 3:23 p.m., when a black GMC SUV pulled up to her and a female suspect got out of the vehicle. The victim said the suspect was wearing a red shirt and was a "stud" and manly."

The woman said the suspect "hit on her," but she rejected the advances. The victim said the suspect then became angry and called her a "bougie bitch."

Police said the victim told them she though the suspect was going to fight with her, but instead the woman pulled out a handgun and placed it to her head. The suspect then demanded the victim's wallet and took it, before getting back into the SUV.

The victim said the suspect then drove away, going east on Ferry Avenue before turning north into the alley between 25th and 26th streets. The SUV was being driven by a male suspect.

Police said the victim was not injured during the incident.

Patrol officers said they then located the SUV in the area of Walnut and 19th streets and stopped the vehicle. Officers took Williams into custody and she was identified by the victim as the robber.
