A 25-year-old Olcott man was charged with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child the Niagara County Sheriffs Department disclosed Monday.

Richard L. Baldwin was arraigned before Justice George R. Berger and posted $500 bail.

The charges stem from a two-month investigation into reports that the suspect had been exposing himself to children. Two of the victims were able to identify the suspect through photographs, according to reports.

Baldwin is accused of exposing himself to a woman and children March 21 near the Wilson Library. He is also accused of exposing himself April 6 near Autumnview Drive.

Parents of Wilson students were notified by e-mail and letter after the April 6 report.

The investigation is continuing.
