- ARREST: A Falls man was arrested Tuesday on drug charges. Cortez D. Hill, 22, 819 South Ave., was charged with fifth- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Narcotics Division detectives said they saw Hill smoking a blunt in the 400 block of 20th Street early Tuesday night. After Hill was taken to the city jail, officers said they also saw him try to flush a quantity of marijuana down a toilet.

- BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 1900 block of Welch Avenue. A 36-year-old woman told officers that sometime between 8:31 p.m. Sunday and 12:40 p.m. Monday, someone broke into her home. The woman said two TVs, two VCR/DVD players, a portable DVD player, a stereo system and 100 DVDs were taken.


- GRAND LARCENY: A Cayuga Drive Extension man called deputies to report that his home had been broken into Monday afternoon. The man told deputies the break-in must have occurred between 2:45 and 4 p.m., the only time that both he and his wife were at work, leaving the home empty. The suspect apparently used an unlocked bathroom window to enter the home, reports said. A complete list of the items taken were unavailable and no suspects were identified, reports said.

City of Lockport

- CHARGED: Four Niagara County teens were arrested Tuesday afternoon following a traffic stop initiated by county Drug Task Force Chief Mark Driess. Lockport police assisting with the arrests reported that Driess saw the suspects throw a beer can and some cigar wrappers out the window of their car on Walnut Street. A search of the vehicle found an unspecified amount of marijuana, reports said. Charged in the incident were: Joshua M. Kilgour, 18, 2433 Upper Mountain Road, Town of Lockport, Marcus J. Borcharding, 18, 5761 West St., Sanborn and Richard M. Nolan, 5767 West St., Sanborn, each with one count of unlawful possession of marijuana. Joseph E. Meyer, 19, 2403 Niagara Road, Niagara Falls, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, littering and possession of an alcoholic beverage by a minor.

Town of Lockport

- CHARGED: Christopher Wright, 42, 6572 Slayton Settlement Road, was charged early Tuesday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after Niagara County Sheriff's deputies pulled him over on South Transit Road. After reportedly seeing his car missing a tail light, deputies pulled Wright over in the Tops parking lot. A check of DMV records revealed his license had been suspended in Ohio for an unknown reason, reports said.

- BURGLARY: An Oxford Lane woman called deputies Tuesday morning to report that her ex-boyfriend and another woman broke into her home the previous night. Neighbors told deputies they saw the woman detach a window screen, crawl into the home and let the ex-boyfriend into the residence. The victim told deputies she'd been involved in a violent domestic dispute with the man recently. What they took from the woman's house is unknown, reports said, but witnesses said they left in a black Mercedes.


- GRAND LARCENY: A Wheatfield-Pendleton Townline Road man called deputies Monday afternoon to report that his home had been broken into. When he returned home from work shortly before 6 p.m., the man found a side window to his home had been opened. The suspect took a pillow case and used it to steal several items. The man couldn't tell deputies everything that had been taken, but said he would give them a list when he could. No suspects were identified in the report.


- PETIT LARCENY: A Lake Road man called deputies Monday afternoon to report the theft of a silver mountain bike from his home. The bike was valued at $200 and no suspects were identified.
