Empire State Development is coming to the assistance of businesses owners struggling amid rising water levels in Lake Ontario.
The Lake Ontario Business Resiliency Program will offer $30 million in grant funding, with individual awards up to $200,000, to eligible businesses who have been affected by by flooding along both Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River during 2019.
Eligible applicants include not online businesses, but also not-for-profit organizations, farmers, homeowners' associations and owners of rental properties.
Grants may may be available to reimburse up to 50 percent of an eligible applicant's capital improvement project.
