Falls police were called to the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino on Monday night for a report of a SUV stolen from the employee parking lot.

An employee told officers that he had just purchased a ’17 Toyota 4Runner for a Pennsylvania business and it was missing from the lot. The worker noted that the vehicle still had its dealer plates and there was a safe in the middle console which contained his wallet with $400, a Nexus pass and his driver’s license.

Casino security told police surveillance footage showed a man looking around the SUV and a vehicle parked next to it about 9:30 p.m. and then walk off. About 10 minutes later, the man is seen walking back to the SUV, get into the vehicle and then drive off down Rainbow Boulevard.

Detectives were investigating the matter.
