A Falls police officer said they were nearly struck by a piece of concrete thrown at them while responding to a large fight on the 3100 block of Highland Avenue early Sunday morning.
The officer said they were on patrol when they spotted a group of about 50 to 75 people outside the “Red House” arguing.
As the officer was exiting the patrol car, the piece of concrete, about the size of a baseball, was thrown in their direction. It went over their head and struck the rear driver’s-side door of their patrol car. The officer called for more cars to respond and additional officers arrived to clear out the area.
The officer said they were unable to see who had thrown the chunk of concrete but did have a body camera activated. The concrete was collected as evidence.
