The Niagara County Sheriff's Office is looking for a Level three sex offender and convicted rapist who is on the run.
The authorities say Dale A. Dulac, 57, of 5th Street, Niagara Falls, absconded from parole.
Dulac was paroled from state prison in October 2015, after serving over 22 years of an up to 35-year sentence for convictions of first-degree sodomy, first-degree criminal sexual act and two convictions of first-degree rape, according to the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
Authorities said Dulac raped a 28-year-old woman who picked him up hitchhiking June 14, 1992, the Associated Press reported. Dulac reportedly abandoned the woman in the woods, drove off in her car and raped a 27-year-old woman in Niagara Falls about an hour and a half later.
Dulac was sentenced to up to 25 years in prison for the Niagara Falls attack, and five to 10 years for the attack in Akron. He also served a brief prison sentence in North Carolina for rape in the late 80s. He was set to remain on parole until June 2027.
Dulac is white, bald, has blue eyes, stands about 6-foot-1-inch tall and weighs 275 pounds.
A wanted posted indicated he may have traveled to Arizona or California.
Anyone with information on Dulac's whereabouts should contact the state Division of Criminal Justice Services 24-hour command center hotline at 212-239-6159.
