Falls police are investigating an incident an attack involving two pit bulls in the 400 block alley between 17th and 18th streets early Wednesday morning.
A 26-year-old Falls man told officers he was walking to the store and cutting through the alley when two pit bulls began running at him. The man said he put his hands to his face and one of the dogs latched on to his jacket and left hand. Officers said he had severe lacerations to his left hand.
The owner of the pit bull, “Tony,” according to the victim, came out of his house at the corner of 18th and Niagara streets and the victim said he began asking him why he had’t run from the dogs. The victim added that “Tony” didn’t disclose if the dogs were up to date on shots.
The victim was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for treatment of his wounds.
