WARRANT ARREST: A Pennsylvania man was picked up on a warrant Monday by Falls police. Officers picked up the man up at the Rainbow Bridge after U.S. Customs agents discovered he was wanted by authorities in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Dispatchers confirmed that he would be extradited if taken into custody.
COUNTERFEIT MONEY: Falls police were called to a Main Street discount store on Monday for a report of a fake $100 bill. A city woman told police she was approached by a man in front of the store on Sunday who asked for change for $100. The woman complied and he gave her a $100 bill. On Monday, the woman tried to use the $100 bill at the store and a clerk told her it was counterfeit.
THEFT: A Fredonia woman told police Monday that while she was hospitalized at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center from July 3 through Monday, someone smashed out a window of her car while it was in the parking ramp and took a $900 laptop. The woman noted the laptop had Ghostbusters and kitten stickers on it.
