The suspect in a Monday night robbery of a convenience store at 29th and Pine Avenue.

Falls police are investigating three robberies in the city that are believed to have been committed by the same suspect.

The first robbery occurred Monday afternoon at a gas station on the 500 Main Street.

At about 8:40 p.m. Monday, police responded to a second robbery at a convenience store at 29th and Pine Avenue.

In both cases the suspect was wearing a bag over his head and a plastic bag over his body and hands and appeared to be holding a handgun. Following the convenience store robbery, the suspect ran south through the 600 block alley between 28th and 29th streets where officers found the items he used as a disguise.

A Niagara County Sheriff’s K-9 was called in to assist in a search but police couldn’t locate the suspect.

Late Monday night, police said the same suspect was believed to have robbed a donut shop on the 700 block of Portage Road.

Those with information are asked to call Niagara Falls Police at 286-4547.
