SLIDESHOW: Empire State Ride rolls into the Falls; raises $1.5M

The riders started on Staten Island and rode 560 miles in 7 days. The riders raised $1.5 million for cancer research at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo. Candace Johnson PhD., president and CEO of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, announced that this year’s Empire State Ride raised $1.5 million for research. Terry Bourgeois, founder of the Empire State Ride, promises a bigger and better Empire State Ride in 2023. Empire State Ride participants cheer the amount of money raised. The Empire State Ride has raised $6 million since its inception. Those wearing Excelsior shirts raise more than $10,000 each.
