Thomas M. Cook, Sr., age 86, formerly of Florida and Albion, died April 26, 2009 in Orchard Manor Nursing Home, following a long illness. He was born December 17, 1922 in Buffalo to John and Maratet (Smith) Cook and had lived in this area for several years before moving to Florida for 20 years and then moving back to this area for the past few years.

Mr. Cook was a US Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII having served in both France and Italy. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, the Medina Moose Lodge and Holy Family Parish - St. Joseph’s Church. Tom was a former supervisor at FMC in Middleport and in his down time loved to fish. Mr. Cook was predeceased by his wife, Lois, in 2007; a daughter, Kathleen; his son-in-law, Larry Miller; and his brother, Ray Cook. He is survived by his son, Thomas (Gail) Cook, Jr., of AZ; his daughter, Janice (Mike) Oliver of Kent; brother, Paul (Aline) Cook of North Tonawanda; sister, Delores Cook of North Tonawanda; sister-in-law, Pearl Cook of Medina; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service FRIDAY 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Mausoleum in Medina with full Military Honors.
