Stanley A. Franklin, age 77, of Tonawanda, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, after a long illness. Born in Chateaugay, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas and Nettie (nee Glover) Franklin and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Franklin worked as an electrician for General Motors in the Town of Tonawanda, until retiring in 1988. A member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, he was an avid sportsman who especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (nee Piskor) Franklin; a son, Bruce G. Franklin; two daughters, Katherine (John) Nunz and Nancy (Joseph) Gargas; and two brothers, Gerald (Elizabeth) Franklin and Allen Franklin. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday at St. Francis Chapel on Adam Street in Tonawanda. Friends invited. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
