Roger R. Williams, age 81, of Tonawanda, died Monday, August 25, 2008 at Niagara Hospice House, after a long illness. Born in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late William Williams and Louise (nee Glasner) Williams Pankow, and was the youngest of three children. Mr. Williams was an Army Veteran of WWII and worked at Spaulding Fibre for 45 years, before retiring in 1991. He was the father of the late Keith Williams; and grandfather of the late Jessica Mabey.
He is survived by his wife, Eness (nee Juliano) Williams; two sons, Charles (Carol) Williams and Kenneth (Nancy) Williams; three daughters, Christine (Scott) Gauda, Rebecca (Lawrence) Mabey, and Julie Gordon; also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to Niagara Hospice House are preferred by the family.
