Robert. L. “Bob” Pasciak, 67, of Harlingen, TX, died Thursday, November 26, 2009, at Sunshine Haven, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born to the late Leo and Elizabeth Pasciak, Feb. 2, 1942, in North Tonawanda, NY. Bob graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1959 and received an AA in Manufacturing from the Alliance College in Pennsylvania in 1961. Bob graduated from the NY State Apprentice Program as a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker in 1964. He spent 48 years in the manufacturing industry and also taught at University of Texas-Brownsville. Bob was an active parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Harlingen and had at various times been involved with JAYCEES, St. Mary Mfg. Big Brothers, and the Judges and Police Assoc. of Niagara County. He was elected three times to the Southern Montgomery County Municipal Utility District Board, serving as President and Secretary. He loved to golf, read and spend time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Pasciak (Mohr), whom he married on June 22, 1963. They lived in North Tonawanda, NY, as well as in Houston, Decatur, Georgetown and Harlingen, TX. He is also survived by his three children, Robert L. Pasciak, Jr. of Lufkin, TX, David P. Pasciak of Ridgely, MD, and Sandra M. Lawson of Hereford, AZ; his sister, Theresa Cantor of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and his best friend, Joel Gonzalez of Brownsville. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM today, Sunday, November 29, 2009, with a Rosary to begin at 5:00 PM at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 10 AM on Monday, November 30, 2009 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harlingen. All services will conclude at the church and in accordance with his wishes, Mr. Pasciak will be cremated.
