Michaela L. Fidanza, 9 years old, of Batavia, NY entered into rest suddenly, Monday, April 6, 2009. Michaela was the daughter of Donna (Smith) Fidanza and Michael Fidanza and was born in Houlton, Maine on August 5, 1999.

She attended John Kennedy Elementary School in Batavia and was in the 4th grade. Michaela loved to color and draw, she loved music, dancing and also going to church. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and loving nature.

Survivors include her parents, Donna (Smith) Fidanza of Batavia and Michael Fidanza of Medina; four siblings, Justin and Sidney Lord of Lewiston, ME, Ronald Smith and Edith Fidanza, both of Batavia; paternal grandmother, Dona Seitzer of Medina; maternal grandparents, James Smith of Brewer, ME and Patricia Smith of Waterboro, ME; paternal step-grandmother Laurie Fidanza; one nephew Jayden Lord; several aunts, uncle and cousins also survive. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Peter Fidanza. Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday at 2 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. The Rev. James W. Maxwell, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Medina will officiate.
