Mark Penque, 58, of the Town of Niagara, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2009, at his residence, while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born on January 5, 1951 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Sidney (Mary) Penque of Kansas City, MO and the late Sara (DeSantis) Penque. Mark married the former Michelle Kulbago, his best friend and wife of 25 years.

Mark attended local schools and graduated from LaSalle Senior High School in 1969, where he served as President of his senior class. He later earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University at Buffalo. 

Mark was a successful musician and entrepreneur and a signed singer-songwriter with Twentieth Century Records in Los Angeles, CA. Mark was a member of the Original Now Theatre and played Off-Broadway shows in New York City. Over the years, mainly following his music and business careers, he and his wife, Michelle, lived in many different states across the country.

In addition to his father and beloved wife, Mark is survived by one brother, Sid (Phyllis) Penque of North Tonawanda, NY; and nieces, Lori and Julie Penque.

The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday, October 10th from 10-11 AM in the Chapel of the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings in Mark's name may be made to the Kenan Center, 433 Locust St., Lockport, NY 14094 (716)433-2617.
