Albion - Leonard B. “Sneezy” Snyder age 86 of Oak Orchard Estates died Monday June 29 at The Villages of Orleans following a short illness. He was born in Albion May 16, 1923 a son of the late Bryan and Lillian (Allen) Snyder. He had lived all his life here where he owned and operated Sneezy’s Bowling Lanes for over 50 years. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Batavia Bowling Assoc. and a charter member of the association Hall of Fame. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks #1006 and the Dye Hose Co. of the Albion Fire Dept. Sneezy “Lived to Bowl”. He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 1987. He is survived by three sons, Donald (Betty) Snyder of Kent, Ken (Nancy) Snyder of Barre, John (Theresa) Snyder of MD; daughters, Kay (Neal) Illenberg of Rochester, Patty (Nick) Kokkinakis of Wantaugh, NY; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Call of Elba; brothers-in-law, Ed (Eleanor) Yungfleisch of Barre, Carl (Lorraine) Yungfleisch of Elba; nieces and nephews. Sneezy’s family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 W. Ave., Albion, Friday from 5:00-8:00 PM where his Memorial Service will follow at 8:00 PM.
