Joanne (Misch) Bush, 67 years old, died November 5, 2009 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital. Joanne was born on February 12, 1942 in Niagara Falls, the daughter of the late Michael and Nellie (Kindzia) Misch.

Joanne attended Holy Trinity Parochial School and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1959. On June 15, 1968, she was married to Gary Bush at Holy Trinity Church. She worked as a beautician at Leonard’s of Lewiston from 1960 until 1975. From 1986 until 2003 she was a waitress at Koban’s Food and Drink. She was an active member at the former Holy Trinity Church where she enjoyed volunteering at all church functions. She was also a member of the church choir and folk group. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, but especially enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, Jacob and Kendyl.

Joanne is survived by her husband, Gary Bush; her daughter, Lauren (Donald) Ode of Grand Island and her beloved grandchildren, Jacob and Kendyl. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy (late Ronald) Koban and her brother-in-law, Tom Kucharski of DesPlaines, IL. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Janet Kucharski. She was the dear aunt of Marsha (Jack) Frost, Ronda (David) Sortore, Kevin (Diana) Kucharski and Brian Kucharski, and great-aunt of John and Christa Frost, Zachary and Andrea Sortore and Kyle and Danielle Kucharski.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 6 PM at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. John DeLaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, with Rev. Slawomir Siok officiating. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Pastoral Care Ministries.
