David F. Fritton, 69 of Fort Pierce, FL, formerly of the Niagara Falls area, died on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 in Indio, CA. Born in Lockport, NY, he was the son of the late Francis C. and Winifred (Smith) Fritton, Sr. David was raised and educated in Wilson, NY. He served in the United States Navy from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1958.

For forty-eight years, David was employed as a master driver for Allied Van Lines, where he worked locally until later relocating to California and most recently to Florida where he currently resided.

David is survived by his wife of twenty years, Deborah (Behrens) Fritton of Fort Pierce, FL; three children, Michael (Wanda) Fritton of Jacksonville, FL, Kitty Fritton of Wilson, NY and DeAnna Butera of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Daniel Fritton and Dominique Butera; one brother, Francis Fritton, Jr. of Lockport, NY; one sister, Margo Fritton of Niagara Falls, NY; and was predeceased by one brother, James Fritton. He is also survived by two uncles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held at the M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY at a date and time to be announced. If desired, memorial offerings in David’s memory, may be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John J. Audubon Parkway, Amherst, NY 14228.
