Carolyne (Lucido, Lucatra) Fournier, 85, of Burlington, Canada, died on January 31, 2008. She was born March 22, 1922 in Niagara Falls, NY.

Wife of Raymond Fournier; mother of Therese L. (Frank) Calovini of Niagara Falls, NY, Louis J. (Beverly) Lucatra of Tampa, FL, Lynda L. (Thomas) Ciechoski, and Dawn L. (Robert) Carr of Niagara Falls, NY. Predeceased by her mother, Theresa Lucido, Legiere; father, Raniero Legiere and brothers, Louis and Stanley Lucido. Sister of Joseph (Antonette) Lucido of Niagara Falls, NY and Julia Disparti White of Holiday, FL.

She was one of the original members of the Canadian Institute for the Blind (CNIB) craft program held at the Burlington Red Cross. The program, which began in 1998, provided recreational and leisure activities for the visually impaired, ranging from cataracts to total blindness.

Survivors include 11 grandchildren, Frank (Daune) Calovini, Carina (Jeff) Halpin, Louanne (Larry) Reed, Suzanne (Thomas) Winkler, Joseph Lucatra, Christine (Kevin) Universal, Anthony (Jeanette) DeMito, Ricky Lucas, Joseph Lucas, Dawn (Robert) King and Marie (Brad) Collins; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grand-daughter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Private services were held at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington, Canada.
