‘Master your Emotions’ Saturday

The Bridge to Wellness Health Center, 549 Fourth St., will hold a retreat, “Mastering Your Emotions Day,” from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. This program teaches participants to conquer emotional turmoil, release negative emotions, reduce anxiety, stress, depression, banish fears and release old trauma.

The program is free or members who have Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Western New York. There is a $10 fee for materials. Call Victoria Porfilio, R.N., at 285-5752 to register.



Red Cross to holdbaby-sitter course

The Niagara Falls Chapter, American Red Cross, 2079 Sawyer Drive, will offer a baby-sitters training course from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

The class, targeted to youth ages 11 to 15, provides information and skills necessary to become a safe and responsible baby-sitter.

Cost is $50, which includes books, learning materials and a first aid and safety kit. Call 731-4030 to register.



Pioneer camp offered to military dependents

The National Military Family Association announced that a Pioneer Camp and Retreat in Angola is being offered to military children.

The NMFA developed this free summer camp program in response to the need for increased support for military children, especially those whose parents are, or will be deployed. The deadline for applying is Monday. Call 751-6711 or visit www.nfmfa.org for more information.
