Linda and Dennis Ertel have become familiar faces at the North Tonawanda Public Library in New York, Starpoint school system and area nursing homes, all because of their dog Sandy. The couple learned early on that their dog Sandy was talented, so they trained her to be a therapy dog. Photographer James Neiss spent a Sunday afternoon at the North Tonawanda Public Library, with camera and audio recorder in hand, as children read to Sandy the Dog.
