Bowling: Mamon is perfect at Bowl-O-Drome

Niagara Gazette — After a couple weeks of numerous perfect games it was a little quieter on that front in local lanes, though there was still a 300 game rolled.

That was accomplished by Pete Mamon, whose perfect game came while competing in the Zajac’s Funeral Home league last week at Bowl-O-Drome. Mamon’s 300 was part of a 724 series.

There were a couple of close calls. Eric Lebay rolled a 297 while Jack Vail bowled a 290. Both men got those scores while taking part in the John Paonessa Memorial League at Rapids Bowling Center.

Meanwhile local bowling organizers have forwarded the sad news of the passing of Joseph Gambino, Sr., for whom the Guido’s Upholstery/Joe’s Guys league is named at Rapids.
