Sabres prospects beat Rangers in OT

Niagara Gazette — Nikita Zadorov, who was chosen in the first round of this year's National Hockey League Entry Draft, scored with 21.6 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the Buffalo Sabres prospects over the New York Rangers prospects, 6-5, at the NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, Mich.

The Rangers erased a 5-2 Buffalo lead with three goals in a span of just over two minutes in the third period.

Eric Locke led the Sabres in scoring with a goal and three assists while Nicholas Baptiste recorded two goals and an assist. 

Sabres goaltender Andrey Makarov made 27 saves. 

The Sabres next take on the Carolina Hurricanes’ prospects Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m.
