Niagara Gazette — staff reports
Niagara Falls native and Canisius High School football standout Qadree Ollison will make his verbal commitment to a major college football program in a ceremony scheduled for the afternoon of Monday, September 9.
Ollison, entering his senior year, was offered scholarships by 15 different colleges but earlier this summer whittled that list down to five schools. He will reportedly choose from among the following: Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse and Wisconsin.
Ollison, a previous Niagara Gazette Player of the Year, is ranked as a three-star prospect by several recruiting services.
Among the other schools to offer him a scholarship but are not among the finalists are the University at Buffalo, Connecticut, Temple, Nevada, Minnesota, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Cincinnati and Boston College.
The big announcement comes on the day following Ollison’s 17th birthday.
