Local Golf: Burg, Raepple take members meet at NFCC

Niagara Gazette — Bill Burg and Mark Raepple shot a 62 and 57 for a two-day total of 119 and won the 2013 Member-Member Championship at Niagara Frontier Country Club. Rich Torcasio and Angelo Onevelo finished second with net scores of 68 and 62 for a total of 130. Sam Crisante and Frank Micieli (64-67-131) placed third while the pairings of Ron Reagan and Kevin Reagan (64-68-132) and Bruce Sutherland and John Antone (66-66-132) tied for fourth. In fifth place were Mike Carella and Chris Cavese (71-62-133)

Hyde Park Ladies

Lisa Hamilton shot a 35 to claim first place in the Hyde Park White Nine Friday Ladies' League. Michelle Spancic finished two strokes behind the leader at 37 while Manola DeMunda shot a 40 to finish third.

Sue Kosikowski won the Tournament with a score of 23, while Cathy Williams placed first in Low Putts with 15.

In the Hyde Park Ladies' 18-Hole League, Nancy Lo placed first in stroke play for the second week in a row, shooting an 88 last week and an 86 the week before. Lo also shared the lead for last week's tournament with a score of 19, tying with Rosalie Ponzi. Mary Ann Storr claimed the first weekly tournament with a score of 31.

Lo is also on a two-week streak as the leader in Low Putts with 30 and 32. 

Oak Run Golf Club

Jim Leturgey and Dennis Covell were this weekend's Flight A winners of the Two-Man Par Points tournament, with their score of +2. Jim Moore and Gene O'Byrne were the Flight B winners with their score of +3.
