Niagara Gazette — The Section VI baseball committee released its 2013 sectional brackets on Saturday, mapping out the path for local teams to navigate the postseason.
Lockport (No. 2 seed, Class AA) and Tonawanda (No. 1, Class B-1) are the only local schools that won't start play Monday. The Niagara Frontier League champion Lions earned a bye into Wednesday's quarterfinals and will play either Frontier or Williamsville North., while the Warriors will host either Depew or Newfane on Tuesday.
Every other local school will play at 5 p.m. Monday.
Niagara Falls earned the No. 5 seed in Class AA and will host No. 12 West Seneca West. Niagara-Wheatfield finished a spot behind them at No. 6 and will host NFL rival North Tonawanda (No. 11). No. 8 Kenmore West earned a home game against No. 9 Jamestown.
In Class A, Grand Island took the No. 2 seed and hosts No. 15 Williamsville East. Starpoint, seeded fourth, hosts ECIC II rival West Seneca East (No. 13), while No. 11 Lewiston-Porter travels to No. 6 Lake Shore. Twelfth-seeded Kenmore East gets a favorable matchup with No. 5 Hutch Tech, a team it beat twice in the regular season. They'll play at Buffalo's Delaware Park.
In Class B-2, Wilson, the No. 9 seed, will travel to No. 8 Cleve Hill.
