Megan Maranto went 3 for 3 with a two-RBI triple and Lexi Gibson and Laura Crooks each hit solo home runs for the Falcons (4-1, 3-1 NFL), ranked No. 10 in the state in Class AA, in the win over the Blue Devils (3-1 NFL), ranked No. 20. Marissa Hayes pitched five scoreless innings in relief for N-W, while Bridget Gormley had a single, a double and a run scored for KW.

Marissa Ruffolo and Hannah Reilly each went 3 for 4 with two RBIs for the Big Red (3-1, 1-0 MMA), who came back from a 5-0 deficit. TylerLynn Langer pitched a complete-game and knocked in the winning run for Niagara Catholic.

Freshman Leah VanDenBosch scored the biggest run of her career on Monday — the game winner for the Lions (4-4, 2-2 NFL), who completed a comeback after falling into a 9-0 hole.
Newfane 4, Wilson 1
Lindsay Bryer pitched a complete game, giving up four hits while striking out 10 for the Lakewomen (1-2 N-O). Bekah Blasius had Wilson's loan RBI, while Newfane (4-0) scored three runs in the top of the seventh.
Erie 8, Niagara Falls 3
Anthony Scibilla had 17 saves for the Wolverines (0-3). Jake Eschborn, Mark Grocio and Nico Cirrito were able to find the back of the net in the loss.
