3-0 NFHS to face 2-0 Lew-Port in hockey

Niagara Gazette — Niagara Falls High School's varsity hockey team is off to a 3-0 start and seeks to extend its unbeaten streak this Sunday when it faces Lew-Port, which is also unbeaten at 2-0, at 7:30 p.m. in Dwyer Arena.

The Wolverines' most recent win was a 7-6 overtime decision over St. Mary's of Lancaster. Alex Hailey led NFHS in scoring with three goals.

Last weekend, NFHS blanked North Tonawanda, 1-0, with freshman Patrick Sissler recording the shutout. 

Their first win of the season came against Amherst, with the Wolverines prevailing 7-2 over the Tigers.

Lew-Port's wins were a 3-1 decision over St. Mary's last Sunday and a 5-1 win over St. Francis the previous week.
