Niagara Gazette — Volleyball drops three sets to Fairfield

The Niagara women’s volleyball team were defeated in straight sets at home Saturday, falling to visiting Fairfield 25-20, 25-19, 25-15.

The hosts jumped out to an 8-3 lead in the opening set but the Stags rallied to erase that lead and put the Purple Eagles behind 15-14. Fairfield went on to take the first set.

Niagara trailed the second set but twice rallied to get within two points of the Stags but couldn’t pull any closer as Fairfield closed out the set with a 5-1 run.

Amanda Sedore led Niagara with 10 kills, the 16th time this season she has had 10 or more kills in a match.

The Purple Eagles will finish their season today at home against Quinnipiac beginning at 1 p.m.
