Bisons blasted in Louisville, 12-2

Niagara Gazette — LOUISVILLE — The host Louisville Bats built a 12-0 lead before Buffalo finally got on the scoreboard in the 8th inning and by then it was far too late, as the Bats defeated the Bisons, 12-2, at Louisville Slugger Field in a Mother's Day matinee.

Luis Jimenez went 3 for 4 for the Bisons, who were otherwise kept in check by Armando Galarraga (2-1) for the first seven innings. The Louisville starter struck out six while giving up only five hits.

Justin Germano (3-2) took the loss for Buffalo, giving up seven runs on nine hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Buffalo concludes its series with the Bats on Monday night, beginning at 6:35 p.m., then travels to Indianapolis on Tuesday to begin a four-game series there.
