Heat youth baseball prepare for Classic

Niagara Gazette — The Mark Cerrone-Cayuga Heat 9U travel baseball team will host its Early Bird Classic this weekend at the 93rd Street fields. The two-day tournament gets underway Saturday at 9 a.m.

The Heat head into their weekend tournament following a 15-4 victory over the Clarence Black team last Sunday at 93rd Street. Anthony Lozina, Andrew Johnson, Nick Syposs and Jaxon Hoyt combined for a three-hitter. Hoyt also contributed with two hits and two RBIs, while Lozina, Aaron Kifer and Brett Zimmerman scored two runs apiece.
