Niagara Gazette — STAFF REPORTS

BUFFALO — Niagara Falls native Qadree Ollison scored three touchdowns as the Canisius Crusaders punched their ticket to the Monsignor Martin Athletic Association football championship Thursday night, beating the Bishop Timon/St. Jude Tigers 30-0 in a semifinal game at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

Ollison found the end zone on the first drives of the first, third and fourth quarters. The senior running back, who committed to the University of Pittsburgh on Sept. 9, scored on a pair of 3-yard runs before capping off his performance with a 15-yard scamper.

The shutout was the sixth of the season Canisius, whose starting defense hasn’t allowed a touchdown on the season.

The top-seeded Crusaders (8-2, 5-0) will play the second-ranked St. Joe’s Marauders (7-3, 4-1) in the championship at 7 p.m. next Thursday at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Canisius won the regular season matchup 21-0.

St. Joe’s earned their way into the MMAA final earlier in the evening, defeating St. Francis, 38-12.

Nigel Davis ran for two touchdowns and gained 143 yards for the Marauders, whose defense held St. Francis to just 76 yards on offense.
