High School Roundup: Thomas lifts N-W to girls' lacrosse win

Nia.-Wheatfield 7, Lockport 6

● Christine Thomas broke a tie at 6, notching the game-winner with under two minutes left to lift the Falcons (2-0 NFL) past the Lions (1-2). Laura Messer led N-W with two goals and two assists, while Natalie Goeddertz chipped in a pair of goals in the win.


Starpoint 91, Pioneer 50

● A.J. Joslin won the 800 and 1,600, Evan Majewski took the long jump and 100, and Ian Emerick was the top-finisher in the 3,200 and 100 hurdles to lead the Spartans. 


Starpoint 88, Pioneer 53

● Abbie Boyce (triple jump, 400 hurdles, 100 hurdles) was a tri-winner for Starpoint, while Allison Koithan (200, high jump) won two events of her own to aid the Spartans.
