Niagara Gazette — Maurice Searight hit three home runs and was also the winning pitcher, tossing eight strikeouts as the Dairy Queen A’s topped the Dodgers, 13-7, in the Midtown Majors.
Clint Newman hit two triples for the A’s while Jacob Newman had one triple.
Darryl Hill tossed eight strikeouts for the Dodgers, while Michael Iveys had two hits.
• In the Midtown Minors, Summer Destino had two hits and scored two runs as the Cam Tech Royals edged the Mariners, 5-4. Lucas Miller, Ian McNaughton, Henry Mendosa and Matt Paonessa had two hits each. Paonessa was also the Royals’ winning pitcher.
Brandon Jansma and Dominic Skye had two hits each for the Mariners.
• Montae Johnson had four hits, three of them doubles, while Stephan Travis Jr. had four hits, three of them triples and the other a double, as the Niagara Metal Mariners beat the Cam Tech Dodgers, 10-2.
Travis also had four RBI and combined with Johnson on the mound to strike our six. Brandon Jansma Jr. hit two doubles while Adiren Skye had three hits for three RBI.
Kyris Stoner had a double and RBI for the Dodgers, while Tyrek Rodrigues had the same.
• Cameron Reed allowed just three hits while striking out 12 batters in six innings, leading the Porky’s Hot Dogs Braves to a 12-7 win over the Tops Tigers in the Hyde Park Babe Ruth Majors. Reed also had three hits including a home run and triple.
Tyler Kennedy had three hits including two doubles, while Trevor Kennedy and Josh Thiebault had two doubles among four hits each.
Ryan Bower and Ben Graham had one hit each for the Tigers.
• Zack Winker had two hits including a home run and was also the winning pitcher as the Ventry Concrete Yankees defeated the Felicetti Concrete Dodgers, 8-2, in the Hyde Park Babe Ruth minors.
