Mark Montes was hit by a pitch, stole second and scored the winner on a walk-off hit by Bobby Carroll in the bottom of the seventh for the Vikings (8-4, 7-4 NFL). Qunn Corrao struck out eight over seven innings, going the distance for the Vikings (8-4, 7-4 NFL). Mark McKenna knocked in two early runs. Devin Donahue got the Lumberjacks on the board, batting in a run in the fourth. North Tonawanda (0-12 NFL) struck again in the fifth with an RBI from Connor Priester.
• Halim Johnson and Michael Laurrie each had three hits in Niagara Falls' 10-4 win over Grand Island on Thursday. Bobby Newbury hit a three-run home run for the Wolverines.
• Tom Orfano, Matt Grace and Vinny Colosi each had three hits for Niagara Falls in an 11-7 win over Kenmore East on Monday.
Will. South 5, Starpoint 3
Starpoint (12-2, 9-1 ECIC II) dropped its first league game of the season. Allison Block gave up five runs (three earned) in her first loss of the season. The game was tied in the sixth when the Flames (9-1 ECIC II) took a two-run lead. The Spartans threatened with two runners in the seventh but could not capitalize.
Wilson 6, CSAT 4
Ana Bryer allowed only three hits over seven innings, striking out five for the Lakewomen (8-4). Allie Bubar, Beckah Blasius and Alissa DeCesare all batted in runs for Wilson. Rachele Anello shined for CSAT (2-11), hitting a two-run home run in the fifth.
Wilson 9, V-Batavia 8 (OT)
Zach Russell scored four goals — including the game-winner 1:15 into overtime — and had two assists for the Lakemen (3-11). Senior Tim Walsh had three goals and one assist in his first day as a forward for Wilson (3-11). Walsh will go on to play defense for Division III Roger Williams University. Justin Westmoreland scored two goals and dished three assists, while fellow senior Dustin Sellows scored his first career goal. Wilson travels to face Eden today.
