NU hoops receives player's verbal commitment

Niagara Gazette — The Niagara Purple Eagles added a second player to their 2014 recruiting class Thursday, receiving a verbal commitment from forward DayJar Dickson.

Dickson played last season at Potomac High School in Potomac, Md. Listed at 6-foot-7, he started on a stacked team that won the Maryland Class 2A state championship.

For much of the season, Dickson was overshadowed by fellow seniors Dion Wiley and Trey Porter, who committed to Maryland and George Mason, respectively.

Dickson's high school coach, Renard Johnson, confirmed his commitment with the Gazette.
