Niagara Gazette — The Buffalo Bisons lost on the road to the Pawtucket Red Sox on Sunday, 5-3, and fell into third place in the International League North as a result of the defeat.

Pawtucket's starting pitcher, Steven Wright, successfully used the knuckleball to hold the Bisons to just five of their total eight hits. Trailing by 5-0, Buffalo finally scored to break the shutout in the eighth inning and scored two more in the ninth to cut the lead but fell short in their rally.

The Herd went 3 for 5 on the road trip, losing three of four to the PawSox. They return home Monday night to open an eight-game home stand, starting with a four-game series against the Gwinnett Braves. Monday's opening pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
