Niagara Gazette — The Buffalo Bisons went 0 for 2 at home Saturday night, dropping both games of a doubleheader to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders at Coca Cola Field in Buffalo.
In the first game, Dan Johnson's two-run homer in the top of the fourth inning brought home what proved to be the game-winning run, as the RailRiders went on to a 2-1 victory. Buffalo's only run came in the bottom of the fifth inning on Sean Ochinko's solo home run.
Chien-Ming Wang (5-5) took his first loss since he was acquired by the Bisons on July 5.
In the nightcap, Johnson struck again with a solo homer in the second inning to put SWB ahead, on their way to a 5-0 win. The RailRiders added two runs in the third inning, followed by two more in the fifth and sixth innings, while holding the Herd to five hits and no runs.
Dave Bush (8-7) took the loss for Buffalo, whose record fell to 48-47.
Both teams will meet again this afternoon at 1 p.m. to conclude their series, Buffalo's last game before the Triple-A All-Star Break.
