Niagara Gazette — The Sottile's Phillies built up a big lead then stopped a late rally by the Quaranto's Yankees to win, 18-10, in Whirlpool Little League baseball's Minor Division. Chucky Dunn had two RBIs and a three-run homer for the Phillies, while Teddy Chambers hit a grand slam. For the Yankees, Alyssa Casey hit a double while Jay Granto drove in two runs with a single. The Phillies' Brett McClure threw six strikeouts while the Yankees' Nolan Barker struck out three batters in one inning.

Midtown Baseball - Majors

Michael Iveys and Maurice Searight both homered for the Hanes Supply Reds, who defeated the Cam Tech Plumbing Marlins, 16-12. Michael Iveys and Shawn Van Every had three hits apiece, while Jake Pokoj hit twice. Iveys also struck out five Marlin batters.

Cayuga Majors Softball

A walk-off grand slam by Jordan Brooks lifted the David's Home of The Steak Hoagy Padres over the Auto Collision & Glass Red Sox, 12-10. Brooks had five RBIs on two hits. Madison Ciraolo had two hits for the Padres while Tori Bersani had three hits including a double. For the Red Sox, Olivia Stankovich led the team with two hits while striking out six Padres batters in three innings of pitching. Alexia Rose tripled twice and drove in two runs, while Ashley Kepp had two hits including a double.

Meanwhile, the Red Sox defeated the Niagara Falls Teachers Union Royals,16-12. Ashley Kepp had three hits including a triple and drove in three runs. Alexia Rose had two hits while stealing three bases. Olivia Stankovich had three hits and four stolen bases for the Red Sox. For the Royals, Jordyn Smith had two hits including a home run, while Kaitlyn Paretto had two hits and two RBIs. Hailey Perri drove in two runs with one hit.
