Niagara Gazette — The NCCC Jr. Thunderwolves 12U travel baseball team defeated previously unbeaten Lancaster Red, 13-3, to win the championship of their age division in the Clarence Travel League.
The Jr. Thunderwolves scored six of their runs in the first inning alone then scored at least one run every inning after. Joey Lozina had three hits and two RBI while Ian Evans, Cooper Krawczyk and Cal Shifflet had two hits each. Jack Brandon, Trevor Conte and Adam Liberti all batted runs in.
On the mound, Vincent Capolupo, Evans and Shifflet held Lancaster to six hits while striking out seven.
The team will next travel to the Cal Ripken Classic in Maryland.

Lewiston Predators 10, AnJo Bombers 6
Aidan Ward led the Predators with three hits and two RBI. Zach Brydges, Zach Reed, Matt Lysiak and Jacob Niccola each added two hits.

Zach Reed, Zach Brydges and Lucas Eoute combined on a three-hitter, while Aidan Ward led at the plate with two hits. Reed and Carter Krawczyk had two RBI each.

Tigers 16, Cardinals 10
Jaden Nutefall struck out 10 batters as the Tops Tigers downed the Andersen Electric Cardinals, 16-10. Ben Graham had two hits for the Tigers, including a triple, and three RBI. Jason Brady it a three-run double, while Riley Cardinali hit a two-run triple.
David Shelton had two hits for the Cardinals, including a triple, and drove home three runs.
Hyde Park Babe Ruth Minors
Yankees 19, Nationals 9
Zack Winker struck out 10 as the Ventry Concrete Yankees topped the Cardamone Chiropractic Nationals, 19-9. Jermaine Atkins had two hits for the Yankees, a double and triple, while Stephon Travis hit a home run and drove two runs home.
Ryan Tezak had four hits including a home run as well as three RBI to lead the Nationals. Cameron Shelton drove home two runs with two hits and Tremell Mathews had one hit that scored a run. Teshawn Mathews added three hits.
