Jr. Sabres' Gjurich named OJHL's MVP

Niagara Gazette — Buffalo Jr. Sabres forward Tyler Gjurich, who led the entire Ontario Junior Hockey League in scoring with 53 goals and 44 assists during the regular season , was named by the OJHL as its Most Valuable Player of 2012-13 on Thursday.

Gjurich's efforts led the Jr. Sabres to their first-ever first place finish in the OJHL West Division.  He has committed to the University of Maine for next season and is one of seven Jr. Sabres players from the 2012-13 roster to commit to NCAA college hockey programs.

The team is led by former Buffalo Sabres captain Michael Peca, who serves as the team's general manager and head coach.
